F.A.Q

when do you start and finish, is it time specific?

Each package includes unlimited hours, but what this really means is that I’m flexible to your needs. I only film around 15-20 weddings each year in order to give you the best service possible. This means a wedding day is incredibly important to capture in full, and cover as much as possible so that I have the most amount of footage from across the whole day to create the film you would like.

I do have a general rule of thumb on when to turn up to a wedding but these differ from wedding to wedding as each event is unique and needs change from wedding to wedding. I’m happy to work with you to get the times right for your wedding but at the end of the day it is up to you, all I ask is if you want me longer into the night that there is plenty of coffee nearby!

how long does each film take to edit?

Each package has its own edit timescale and larger weddings take some time.

To combat this, after each wedding I send out an email with an online tracking ability so you can see what stage of the edit process I am on with regards to your film,

I find this is the best way for you to stay informed and up to date with where I am at and will inform you as to when you should expect your film.

HOW WILl i receive my film?

Once your film is finished I create an online private viewing area (members area) on my site that you and only you will have a code for. How you share that code is up to you.

This viewing area will allow you to watch the film in privacy, share across devices if needed and is a brilliant way for you to watch your film.

If you are happy with the film (if it needs some tweaks you can get in touch) I will then send over the download links for you as well as send over my online questionnaire which will be used to create the online blog post for you if you want to share your film across social media platforms or with friends and family across the world. I have found this is the best way to share your film with the people who matter the most.

how do i secure a date?

Once you have been in touch and we’ve discussed creating a package that suits you, I will send across an online quote. You can then follow the directions on the quote to secure your date. This includes accepting the quote, signing the contract, filling in a basic ‘on the day’ questionnaire and finally paying a deposit.

Deposits differ from wedding to wedding i.e. UK or abroad, so for more information about deposits please get in touch.

how long after the wedding can i leave it to choose an upgrade or extras?

If you would like to upgrade your film choice to a longer option, the quicker you get in touch the better, so that when I come to edit, or while I am editing I can put these options to you and we can decide what would work best.

If you are wanting a second film or any of the other options I offer you can get in touch whenever you want about these, there is no time limit. I have had couples get in touch years down the line and this to me is the greatest part of it, the flexibility allows you the freedom to get in touch whenever you want to discuss further options.

do I need to pay for travel or is it included?

For UK and destination weddings all travel and any additional costs are included in the package so there is no hidden or added costs at any time.

do you film destination weddings?

Yes I do, in fact a lot of my work is based around destination weddings. If you are having a destination wedding please head over to my destination wedding page to find out more, or simply get in touch to discuss your options and what I can offer you in more detail.

would you be available to meet at the venue?

I never have a problem with meeting at venues to meet with yourself or to look around the venue with events managers or wedding planners if I am available.

For local weddings in the UK I do not charge for this however anything over a 3 hour travel is costed and if it is outside the country, if I am available this can be arranged, again, at a cost.

do you have PLI (public Liability Insurance)

Yes, I have up to £5 million PLI and if your venue needs a licence or a specific named licence, that is available upon request. Please note this generally takes around two days to complete.

Do you charge VAT?

No, at the moment, I do not charge VAT however if this ever changes you will be notified and nothing will change on your end with regards to cost.
